Friends Of Bigfork Schools (aka FOBS) is primarily a local fundraising entity. Long standing events include the school Santa Shoppe in December and the annual, popular Cowabunga variety / talent show in Spring. The 2012 show on April 13,14 & 15 weekend will proudy bring on the 10th anniversary Cowabunga Variety Show. The upcoming theme is a lucky one on this diamond anniversary: "Cow'sino Royale... your best bet in 10 years".
Past fundraisers have been a community prom. sales of Sally Foster gift wrap and the collection of discarded Christmas trees to name a few. The money raised each year is disbursed to local Bigfork schools for specific projects that otherwise not be funded through normal school budgets and also to youth oriented programs in the Bigfork community like LEAP after school program and the Bigfork Playhouse Children's Theater. FOBS is proud to have given the initial seed money to start classes on-line for the high school, a much needed alternative in a small community.
