The Hockaday Museum of Art's mission is to enrich the cultural life of our community and region, and preserve the artistic legacy of Montana and Glacier National Park. The Museum maintains a permanent collection and offers rotating exhibits by nationally renowned and emerging artists, in addition to a permanent exhibit of Glacier National Park art and culture. A Discovery Gallery provides hands-on activities for children that changes along with the rotating exhibits. We offer these trail rides from four stunning locations: Apgar Corral near the main entrance on the west side, Lake McDonald Corral across the road from Lake McDonald Lodge, Many Glacier Corral across from Many Glacier Hotel on the east side, And the West Glacier Corral behind the Glacier Rawhide Trading Post, about 2 miles from the West Entrance to Glacier National Park. We have several specialty rides available such as our: saddle paddle package which offers whitewater rafting and horseback riding. Our West Glacier corral offers something for everyone including: the very popular Ride,Wine & Dine Tour, an overnight horseback tour and a cowboy cookout. While located in the summer at Marina Cay Resort, Howe’s Fishing-A Able/Mo Fisch Charters make memories happen year round. Four boats are available for Fishing & Touring in Bigfork & Lakeside (24' Sea Raider, 21' Fish Rite, 24' Ocean King and the 16 passenger, 30' Thunder jet). We offer Full and Half day fishing or tour trips. The Tours include getting to and on Wild Horse Island where you may see Wild Horses, Big Horn Sheep, Bald Eagles and other wildlife while hiking the trails. All boats have covered areas, enclosed cabins and restrooms. Snacks, hot and cold drinks are provided. We also have two hour twilight fishing and tours June-Sept. Flathead Lake is not our only destination. Depending on the season, if you would like to catch Rainbows, Bass, Pike and more, we offer that too on other lakes and rivers in the area. Winter Ice Fishing is Captain Mike's passion. He will keep you warm with heated ice houses and provide you with top of the line equipment. Use of cameras and sonar only add to the experience.
